An Indictment of.....Ourselves????
By now pretty much everyone is aware of the planned attack on an American flight in Heathrow airport, and which was thankfully averted.
Last night on Lateline (an Australian news and current affairs show...the good kind) Tony Jones interviewed a terrorism expert, a Mr. Bill Durodie on the issue. The interview was fine, until the very last words spoken by Mr. Durodie....
"we would also have to ask ourselves what led them to do this. A point I often make in this kind of debates is that it's not so much what it is that attracts a few individuals to fringe radical organisations that we need to worry about, but rather what it is about our own society that it fails to attract quite often young, articulate, bright, energetic and ambitious individuals, that they feel so alienated from it that they look for something else to provide substance and meaning to their lives. Surely, that's an indictment of ourselves as well "

Hmmm, I don't know Mr Durodie!! I just don't know if I share this view with you. I mean with all due respect to your good self, I fail to see what it is about the Western world that would push these people to commit such crimes.
The Western societies, are open, democratic, and tolerant to a large degree. They have received wave after wave of people migrating from their homelands to search for a better life. Provided those people with opportunity...some excelled, some got by, and yes some got nowhere. Above all, they were given a "fair go" like we say here in Australia...regardless of color, race, gender, or faith.
Why do I say this?
Because I'm one of those people. One of those who came here to search for a better life...and I do appreciate what I was given.
It baffles me that after this, someone can turn around and blame this hatred and bitterness on the very community that opened up a door for them.
I, for one, refuse to indicte myself for the diseased logic that would compell someone to harm hundreds of people...and why?
To make a point?
Because they're American?
Because they're going to America?
Come on!!! really!!!

I have been away from my blog for some time,but you were away from your blog too for longer time,I hope that it was becasue of a good thing.:)
I just have some words about this accident,
First of all,I thank Allah that those people on these flights are safe now.
You missed one important point in this post,It's the reason why they think to kill those innocents?!!!
The reason simply becasue America caused hatred towards itself from Islamic world by its clear war against Islam,whether before supprting Israel in its deeds in Lebanon and Palestine or after it.
So because men are different,so the re-action and expression of this hatred must be different,some may direct swears towards it,some may demonstrate(and will be hit in streets:),some may write about its crimes(like me on my blog),,,,and some may think about taking revenge by their hands by killing or destroying any thing related to America and this with no doubt is wrong and objects Islamic teachings,but some Muslims may be affected by who invites to these horrible deeds.
And what proves my theory is that they didn't though about bombing a Canadian or a Mexican plane for example.
So I think that what will prevent them from thinking about these deeds again is that America be just and merciful,and leave Muslims.Is this a hard thing?!!!!

ليس غريباً أن تتحول كل مادة يخترعها العالم من أجل الإنسان، إلى مادة خطرة بين أيدي المسلمين يستخدمونها ضدّ الإنسان وضدّ العالم؟
المسلمون لا يهددون العالم فقط إنما يهدد بعضُهُم البعضَ الآخر، والعامل المشترك بين كل أعمال الإرهاب التي تجري ضد الإنسانية اليوم هو الإسلام.

أهُمُ أصحابُ العماماتِ واللحي والوجوهِ الداكنةِ المقيتةِ الذين يثيرون الشك.. هل هم روّاد المساجد فقط؟.. ماذا عن الآخرين الذين يلبسون الجينز، حليقي الذقون، الذين يخرجون مع كافراتٍ سافراتِ الوجوه، ويشربون الكحول في البارات؟.. هل علينا أن نأمن لهؤلاء لأنهم لا يظهرون ولا يتصرفون كأصوليين متعصبين إسلاميين؟.. ألم يقضِ بعض الإرهابيين الذين نفذوا عملية الحادي عشر من سبتمبر الليلة قبل ذلك اليوم، في بارٍ يشربون الكحول ويتمتعون برؤية الراقصات شبه العاريات؟
لماذا على المسيحي أو اليهودي أو البوذي أو الهندوسي أن يضطر للانتظار لساعات في المطارات، وأن يتحمّل عبء التفتيش المزعج، بينما ليس هناك من يُشكّ به غير المسلم؟.. لماذا على أحد هؤلاء أن يرمي بمعجون تنظيف اسنانه قبل ركوب الطائرة من اجل عيون المسلمين من الركاب؟.. المسلمون لا يهمّهم أمر المعجون كثيراً. لديهم المسواك!.. لماذا على أحد اطفال هؤلاء أن يُحرم من اصطحاب زجاجة الحليب الخاصة به أو عبوة غذائه معه، لا لشيء إلا لأنّ هناك مسلماً على الطائرة يمكن أن يستخدم زجاجة أو عبوة كتلك سلاحاً يقتل به المئات؟.. إذاً.. لماذا لا تُخصص رحلاتٌ خاصة للمسلمين المسافرن يُؤَمّن عليها لدى شركات تأمين إسلامية، وبذلك إذا قام المسلمون بتفجيرها يكونون قد اختصروا طريقهم بسرعة للوصول إلى حورياتهم الاثنتين والسبعين بينما تتحمل ثمن الطائرة شركة التأمين الإسلامية؟
لماذا لا نختصر الطريق إلى السلامة والراحة فنوقف تدفق المسلمين إلى العام الحر ونشرع بترحيل كل من يبقى مصمماً منهم على اعتبار هذه الايديولوجية الرهيبة ديناً له؟..

Nope. I don't accept that arguement. Moslem really don't care about the palestinians.If they did, they would've advised them to accept the various peace proposals. Moreover, I'm sick and tired about Moslem anger. It's frankly up to the Moslems to find more productive ways to deal with their anger that doesn't involeve killing everyone.
Also stop blaming outsiders for your failures and reflect as to why the Mideast is so far behind as well as why people are becoming fed up with Moslems. One clue: we're sick of being constantly threatened with death just because you guys can't get your act together.

I got sick of your dictatorial Christian way which loves just to tell not to hear,to direct reviles not to hear the other side.
Any way,I think that it's a disese called 'Hostility',it makes you hate others with no real reason,and if it developed you may walk in streets directing reviles to others,and in a last level your blood will boil,and finally it will lead to death..
So an advice;you must hurry to the nearest doctor,and make a full consult specially on this thing in your head.

For the benefit of all participants I'll summerize the translation of the article I posted above later today,
and to my friend mohamed all I'd say at this stage is that the article presents a view about terrorism and the undeniable link to Muslims and Islam- It is in a political NOT a religious context, but what can I say, the line delibrately blurred between political and religious Islam has backfired for those who'd actively blurred it in the first instance so dont cry foul now
